DRIVEN BY PASSION FOR WHAT WE DO
The Barmah Park Vineyard was first bought in 1964 and remained with the family for three generations before seeing new beginnings in 2017.

It started as a cattle farm but changed 1998 when the second generation had a new vision for the estate. Seeing the beauty of the landscape and the richness of the soil, the family turned their backs on cattle farming. With a vision of rows of vines filling the estate, it took them just two years to turn this into a reality. To complete infrastructure of a vineyard, the family to conducted soil tests, set up irrigation systems and fixing posts and wires.

In year 2000, two varieties were planted, resulting in the best clone being chosen for our award winning Pino Noir & Pinot Gris. This same year saw the beginnings of our acclaimed restaurant and cellar door.

Just two years later in 2002 we saw the production of our first vintage.

Following the advice of our wine master to produce better quality wine, we were awarded our first medals for our 2003 vintage. This was the first vintage of Barmah Park wines to include a range of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris & White Pinot Noir. The 2003 Barmah Park Pinot Gris won silver medal in the 2004 Cairns wine show. Barmah Park wines have also been awarded by the Peninsula Wine Show in the early 2000s.

2004 marks the work of the third generation and saw the early stages of acclaimed wine tastings and the operation of the restaurant. The focus shifted from producing 9 varieties of wines to perfecting our most popular wines: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The peninsula renowned winemaker Ewan Campbell has been making wine for Barmah Park for 14 years and is responsible for many of our acclaimed wines.

2017 beckons a time of change with a new family coming into the estate. The vineyard continues to produce the same exceptional wine Barmah Park Vineyard is known for while the restaurant and cellar door have undergone a full refurbishment to produce an unforgettable dining experience.

Barmah Park Vineyard now has 5 wines under its Arthur Seat label; a Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Shiraz, Shiraz Cabernet and Vintage Shiraz. All extremely palatable wines and available to taste and purchase through the Cellar Door.
