Lifted floral notes, with juniper and spicy herbal lemon. A fresh sorbet-like lemon and lime palate with a nice touch of honey richness adding to the mouth feel. A Chardonnay of lovely length and vibrancy.
The 2017 vintage worked very nicely for Chardonnay, providing a richness of flavour with delicacy and drive. Fermented in a mix of French oak puncheons and barriques (20% new), with the resulting wine kept on the same ferment lees for just over 8 months. Most of the barrels were allowed to go through the acid softening process of malo-lactic fermentation.
